Boost Your Immune System This Winter In a Surprising and Natural Way! [you’ll love it]

Boost Your Immune System This Winter In a Surprising and Natural Way! [you’ll love it]Winter can do a real number on our health. We are all geared up to celebrate holidays and play in the snow, when out of nowhere, a bug will hit and there go our plans. (and it’s not like you can reschedule Christmas or New Years, right??)
Well we at Bayes, are all about keeping you healthy, so we’re going to help you out.
First of all.
Ginger. Eat it. Drink it. Diffuse it. Just get it into your life as much as possible! Not only does it boost the immune system, but if you happen to get struck with a headache or ill feeling, ginger comes to the rescue!
The truth is, ginger is anti-inflammatory, which makes it a valuable tool for pain relief. In 2001, research showed that ginger oil helped reduce knee pain in people with osteoarthritis. There was a study done where women athletes taking three grams of ginger or cinnamon daily (that's less than one teaspoon) had a significant decrease in muscle soreness.

Ginger has even been found to be as effective as ibuprofen in relieving pain from menstrual cramps in women. The pain-relieving potential of ginger seems to be so far reaching and we are only just beginning to understand it.  Along with help for muscle and joint pain, ginger has been found to reduce the severity of migraine headaches as well as some of the more well known migraine medications. Just mince a little of it up, mix with honey and swallow, or add to tea. It’s such a simple remedy!

Lastly, don’t make it worse! What do most people do on a regular basis that’s compromises the immune system? They flood their bodies with toxins.

Now, we aren’t interested in overwhelming you with too much, but here are some simple ways to reduce the toxins around and inside you so that you don’t make it worse.

Inside the body: Stay away from refined sugars. Sugar is like putting your defenses down and inviting illness to attack your vulnerability. Drink lots of water. Hydration flushes toxins. Eat your veggies. It’s true. The only wive’s tales actually have substance to them. Veggies feed your blood and body systems.

Outside the body: Sleep well. Get the hours you need so your body has the energy to defend itself. Dress Warmly. Let your body focus on being strong, not staying warm. Clean with non-toxic, organic cleaners. Regular cleaners have ingredients that attack your lungs and skin. The skin absorbs what’s on it and the liver has to process it. Do you want your liver busy processing toxic chemicals or supporting your endocrine system? Stay away from traditional candles and air fresheners. Most are filled with carcinogens and pollutants to your home (and lungs again.)

The best way to stay healthy is to live healthy. This may mean big or small lifestyle changes for you. But aren’t they worth it?

Aren’t you worth it?

The 3 Most Important Things You Need to Protect Your Home and Sanity During the Holidays!

http://www.bayescleaners.com/products/Fabric-Protectant.htmlThanksgiving is at your door, along with relatives, friends and the beginning of the Christmas season. You can’t run or hide. It’s everywhere. Amidst the chaos though, we want to remind you to be well equipped in the keeping of your home. The holidays tend to do a number on your home - causing more stress than necessary and robbing you of the joy of the season. We don’t want that.

So we have come up with a quick list of our “best of’s”... the products that will keep you sane, save you time and help you feel a lot better about the big and little messes that are bound to show up along the holiday path.

Remember, Bayes is dedicated to creating organic cleaning products that are environmentally friendly without compromising the quality of work delivered. This means, every time you clean, you are not getting bombarded with toxic chemicals in your lungs or on your skin… and the earth is spared the danger as well. Not bad, right?

First of all, we’d like to recommend our newest product addition, the Stainless Steel Cleaner. For any of you that have stainless steel appliances, you know how sleek, modern and elegant they are. But boy, when they get liquid drips or fingerprints on them, they sure do lose that flair! Not only does this Stainless Steel Cleaner clean those surfaces, but also leaves a protective layer on them; so you’re cleaning less. Good news, right?

Next on the list, is the Red Wine Stain Remover. Now you can eat, drink and be merry without losing your flow if a spill happens. Great for table fabrics, furniture and carpets. This powerful cleaner gets out the darkest stains including red wine, juices and even blood. Oh yes. Pour a glass and celebrate. This one’s a keeper.

Can you think of any reasons to have a Fabric Protectant on hand? We can. When you think of how many people will be sitting on chairs, couches and around your home, dirty shoes, winter weather, delicious sticky desserts and home movie nights, your furniture is about to endure a lot of abuse and stain risk. So don’t go there. This protectant repels both oil and water damage, giving you peace of mind when you kind friend surprises you and brings her new dog to the Christmas party and she fancies your favorite spot on the couch.

Don’t let life throw surprises at your home. The holidays can be a time of chaos but don’t fight it; embrace it well. This is a beautiful time to enjoy togetherness, giving, receiving and gratitude, right? You simply need to be prepared.

We’ve done our part to get you ready, now it’s your turn to enjoy the benefits. No more stressing. Kick your feet back and let the power of Bayes do the work for you.

Save Money and Lower Energy Use in the Kitchen with These Tips!

Save Money and Lower Energy Use in the Kitchen with These Tips!
We spend a lot of time in our kitchens but that doesn't mean we should be spending more money or using more energy! At Bayes, we value the health of your home and the earth, which is why we developed a line of organic cleaning products at an affordable price with ingredients you can trust. But we know it doesn't stop there.
The truth is, everyday kitchen tasks may be causing you to use unnecessary amounts of energy and causing your household to have a higher power bill, not to mention sucking valuable energy away from you that would be better spent on things that you enjoy! But by taking a few precautions and following a few steps, you can help save energy and money in the kitchen.
Save Money and Lower Energy Use in the Kitchen with These Tips!Save Energy while cooking: There are several simple ways to save energy every month in your kitchen by simply changing a few cooking habits and techniques. One easy tip is to always cover your pots and pans when cooking, preventing heat from escaping. This also cuts down on the amount of time you will be using the stove. Another great tip is to turn off the stove just before your food is ready, letting the heat that is already in the pan continue to cook for the last few minutes. The pan will stay hot for some time even though the stove has been turned off, resulting in a simple energy saver.
Purchase energy efficient appliances: Another tip to save energy in the kitchen is to find very energy efficient dishwashers or refrigerators when it’s time for a replacement. Refrigerator models that have moisture control are very helpful for saving a large amount of money on your electricity bill.
Set the faucet to cold water: A good habit to be in is to keep your faucet running cold water at all times when hot water is not needed. If you don’t need too much water for a quick clean or for any other small uses, stick to using cold water. Even if you turn the hot water on for a few seconds, energy is still being used to heat the water.
Tend to your refrigerator's seal and temperature: Many refrigerators are set to a colder temperature than is really necessary. This can lead to excessive amounts of energy being wasted. The ideal temperature to set your refrigerator to is between 37 and 40 degrees, and your freezer should be kept at around 0 degrees. If you keep your freezer packed, many times it may not be shut as airtight as it could be otherwise. It is always best to pack your refrigerator or freezer with a little bit of extra space instead of packing it tight to make sure it can be shut all the way.
Plan ahead: Here's a tip to save your sanity. If you are going to be making a pasta dinner or a casserole, why not make a large amount and refrigerate or freeze the extra portions? This way, you are getting most bang for your buck by running your oven. Also, for lunch the next day you can reheat the dinner in the microwave instead of cooking something new in your oven or on your stove.
Invest well: Be sure you always stock your kitchen with quality products and avoid the cheap stuff. Just like with Bayes organic cleaning supplies, you know your kitchen will not only be cleaned, but also maintained and preserved. When investing in home cleaning products, always make sure they are adding to the life of your home - not just meeting a short term need!
Knowing these helpful tips is a great way to not only conserve energy but also save a little bit of money when it comes to your bills. Bayes knows the importance of keeping a clean, green kitchen. We hope to find ourselves in your kitchen soon!

Don't Miss These Little Cleaning Tips that Make a Big Difference in Your Family's Health!

Don't Miss These Little Cleaning Tips that Make a Big Difference in Your Family's Health! Is it hard to keep your house clean? Different factors like pets, children and busy lives can make house cleaning a challenge. But a dirty house is a breeding ground for germs and irritants. So let's take a preemptive strike and stay one step ahead of the game. Enjoy the info below and get the family on board.

Little Cleaning Tips that Make a Big Difference in Your Family's Health!

Non-Toxic Products
Educate yourself and your family about the dangerous and safe ingredients. This is a great point to start with, because the toxic chemicals we clean with are such irritants to our health. They create allergies and aggravate them, compromise our sinus and respiratory system, while weakening our immune systems all together. (Ever notice the rise in how common it is for children to be congested?) As the safety and environmental impacts of conventional cleaning products become more thoroughly understood, more and more brands of healthy, green, and effective cleaning products have started hitting the market and competing for that coveted place of honor under your sink. Many of these products are non-toxic, biodegradable, and made from renewable resources (not petroleum).  Bayes knows the importance of this, which is why we do what we do!

Cleaner the Air in Your Home
It's surprisingly common to find that the air inside the home is more toxic than the air outside. It's because the toxins and substances that insulate homes (which is a good thing) are strong and being off gassed on a general basis. Keeping windows open as often as possible allows fresh air in and keeps toxins flowing out. This is especially important when cleaning your home.

Clean the Air Naturally
Skip the store-bought air fresheners and instead try boiling cinnamon, cloves, or any other herbs you have a fondness for. Fresh chocolate chip cookies also have been known to create a friendly aroma. Also, plants may not make your house smell different but are good for filtering interior air--pretty much any broad green leaf plant will do. Peace Lilies are a favorite choice.

Keep the Shoes Off
Imagine what's on your shoes at the end of the day. Everything from car oil, antifreeze, animal waste, pollution, pollen, (and who knows what else) into the house is especially common for kids and other critters that spend time on floor level. Keep the sidewalk out of your home with a good doormat and a shoeless house policy. Many green buildings now include entryway track-off systems as a means of maintaining a healthy interior environment. Less dirt also means less sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, which means less work, water, energy, and fewer chemicals. You can do it!

Bayes decided to go into business out of a desire to meet the need that so many people are asking to be filled.  Our cleaning products are organic, non-toxic and gentle on the spaces in your homes. We encourage you to make small steps to big change in your home as you make your cleaning routine more green.
