Easy Tips on How To Clean Organic Fruits and Vegetables

Easy Tips on How To Clean Organic Fruits and VegetablesYou wash your hands before eating, but how well do you wash your vegetables and fruits?
You might find it surprising at the amount of germs and generally unclean material is on those fresh vegetables and fruits actually comes off when you simply rinse or rub them under running water.

Buying organic or sustainably grown produce fruits from your local farmers' market is great but there are still potentially hidden dangers hiding on their surfaces. Even if you are growing your own produce, fertilizers, animals, and unhealthy soil can still contaminate your food. Once you've bought or picked your fruits and veggies, you bring them in the kitchen and excitedly place them on the counter, right? Then, all those nasty extras also end up on your counter!

So you can see it's very important to properly clean your food before eating it. And it's also important to clean the 'extras' from the counter top! (For granite counter tops, remember, Baye's makes a fantastic organic counter top cleaner, that Kathy Ireland is head over heels for!)

Thanks to Organic Authority, we have a simple 2 ingredient fruit and vegetable wash you can make yourself!
